About Me
Hello! I’m Jen McLean - a longtime graphic designer turned illustrator. I’ve long been fascinated with the slightly obscure, strange, irregular and imperfect aspects of this world. Chicory growing in the cracks of concrete landscapes, liminal spaces, transitions, folk herbalism, ghost stories, surrealist art, forests, lakes and mountains are some of the aspects of life that influence me as an artist. I primarily work in a colorful style thats somewhere between folk art and whimsy, with most of my pieces being heavy in themes of flora and fauna.
When I’m not creating, you might find me exploring the woods, reading something spooky, snacking, strolling antique malls looking for fairy lamps or spending time with my husband and dog.
Services
I create illustrations, greeting cards and surface patterns available for license. I can also create custom surface patterns, elements, greeting cards and illustrations for brands, products and projects.
